Regent Law faculty scholarship continues to perform outstandingly. Regent Law Professor Lou Hensler’s paper, "MOSES’ RESTATEMENT OF TORTS: MODERN PRINCIPLES OF JUSTICE AND EFFICIENCY IN THE MISHPATIM," was recently listed on SSRN's Top Ten download list for LSN: Other Law & Society: Private Law - Torts (Topic) Top Ten and Law & Religion eJournal Top Ten. This is a fascinating article about the theory of tort law embodied in Ex. 21:18-22:6: "While some of this passage from the mishpatim focuses on non-tort principles, most notably fundamental human dignity, the tort law of the mishpatim, at its core, appears to be a corrective justice based rule of strict liability for intentional and accidental harm caused by an actor’s voluntary conduct." You can download the article at: https://ssrn.com/abstract=3264330.
Additionally, Professor James Duane reached 10,000 total paper downloads this week. Professor Duane's works have enjoyed tremendous success nationwide among legal professionals and the general public, due to their readability, relevance, and engaging style.
